Johnie Nunez Salas Jr., also known to many as Lidos, was born July 21, 1948, in French Camp, California. He lived in Tracy for 18 years before joining the military. He served in the American Air Force for 20 years before retiring and served 26 years for the civil service. Johnnie had a love for life and for his family. He enjoyed bike riding, discovering new places, and traveling. He was a simple man who made sure his family was always taken care of. He loved telling stories and joking around with friends and family. He was artistic and loved watching football and boxing. Johnnie passed away in Daegu, South Korea where he lived with his loving wife. He is survived by his wife, Yong Salas, sister Mary (Juan) Godoy, son Anthony (Alexandria) Salas, son Joe Salas, and son John (Michael-Ann) Salas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rayden, Christopher, Michaela, Spencer, and Marcella, and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents Annie and Johnnie Salas, and siblings Dorris Salas, Edward Ramirez, and Lilian Salas. He will be remembered by many and missed by all who knew him.
