Margie was born in Sacramento, Ca to Paul and Marjorie Staudenmaier. She had one brother, Paul James Staudenmaier who also preceded her in death. She moved to Tracy, Ca with her family as a young girl where she was a member of the Girl Scouts and Rainbow Girls. She met the love of her life, Benny Philpott, at the age of 14. They were married July 24, 1959 and were married 62 years before his passing earlier this year. Together they had three children; Ron Philpott, Doug Philpott (Tona), and Jamie Philpott Peterson (Dave). Margie is also survived by her three grandsons Benny Philpott II, Jonathan Bock (Brook), and Tyler Cefalu (Courtney); one great-grandson Slade Bock, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Over the years she worked as a sales clerk for JcPenny's, The Hub, Shaws of SF, and was one of the first employees of Woolworths when they opened in Tracy. She worked for 18 years at the Tracy Hospital as a nurses aide, in the OB Department, helping to deliver numerous babies. Margie loved being a room mother in school for all of her children as well as a Girl Scout mom, and a Band mom. She loved Christmas time, and collected snowmen. Margie also had a vast collection of Fenton Bells. She loved going to the races, and watching Nascar. She enjoyed watching tv, crocheting, reading and shopping. Margie was a very caring , friendly, loving and giving woman with a feisty spirit. Everyone that knew her, loved her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
