Rafael Carbajal was a man with a sense of humor and undying love for his family. “I feel lonely; I’m hungry, with no peanuts, and no family around. What kind of life is this, I think it’s better to die.” There was no one else he would rather spend time with than his spouse, Raquel and his four children: Rafael Jr., Dyanna, Randy and Mariana. Rafael left this world on January 24, 2021. Rafael and Raquel say, “Don’t give flowers to a person when they’re dead, but when they’re alive.” Passing the way he lived, Rafael lived a tough life and overcame many obstacles. Growing up on a farm with his many brothers and sisters, he worked on it and always watched for his family. Looking for a better life he made the brave move to the United States. He made a life in Los Angeles and purchased his first home with his dear brother Martin Jr. He worked hard for companies he remembered fondly, from Harper to his last place of employment, Thermo Fisher Scientific. He thrived to better his family's living situation, when Thermo Fisher moved to Fremont he made the brave move to uproot. Settling for Tracy, a city he loved dearly he watched his children grow up. The home he purchased with Raquel was fixed up with his two bare hands and the help of his family. An intelligent man that loved working on his cars and was always looking for home improvements. On his free days he would study on his tablet and the devices he enjoyed to communicate with everyone. Whether it was watching futbol with his eldest son, working on cars, taking his family to in-n-out, what was important was spending time with them. He was a man of immense faith, who is close to God and his son, Jesus Christ. He attended mass every Sunday at The Holy Family Center. He is survived by his family not only as a patriarch but as a teacher, mentor, and as a hero.
