Rudy Gilbert Quintana March 31, 1939 - September 16, 2020 Rudy Gilbert Quintana passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on September 16, 2020. He was 81 years old. He was born on March 31, 1939, and grew up in Tracy, CA and moved his family to Stockton, CA in 1977. Rudy retired as a Lieutenant from the California Youth Authority after 30 years of service in 1993. Rudy would not be found in a car that was less than spotless unless he was headed to a car wash. He enjoyed spending time with family and never missed an opportunity to sit down and break bread. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and strength, all qualities he never lost even as he valiantly fought his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Rudy is survived by the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Lydia Quintana of Stockton, CA. His two sons: Gilbert Quintana and his wife Darlene of Galt, CA, and Steven Quintana of Sparks, NV. His six grandchildren: Anthony Quintana and his wife Tina, Joseph Quintana, Andrea Alcoriza and her husband Tyler, Steven Quintana II, Briana Schnabel and her husband Garrett, and Samantha Costales. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Quintana; and sister-in-law, Stella Quintana. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Vera Quintana; and four brothers: Donald Quintana, Jerry Quintana and his wife Irene, Jack Quintana, and Arthur Quintana.
